Catching up

Four Marks, England
Sunday, May 27, 2012

Today I rode over to Four Marks, 65 miles away to see my girlfriend Naomi.
We have known each other since our 20's and kept in touch all these years. The BOSS came to stay with her last year just after she had had baby number 2.

The ride over was divine and true to form, I got lost again. The sign told me I was in "Jane Austen Country" and I could well believe it. I ended up in a stunning little village called East Meon and there I met a lovely chocolate Labrador who was taking his human for a walk. The human gave me directions and told me that East Meon was on the Bayeux tapestry. I would have loved to learn more but I was already late. Another job for Google.

Made it to Naomi's without further adventures and we all went out for lunch in a typical English pub - Sunday Roast of course. Naomi's sister and niece were also staying so that made seven of us with all the kids.

After lunch we let the kids loose in Alice Holt Forest where there was heaps of games and activities set up for children. It was a brilliant way to spend the afternoon and catch up with all the news and gossip.

I rode home via the Motorways so that I could give Henry a good run. He certainly does fly!
I only got a little bit lost finding my way back to Sharpthorne.
