Second verse... same as the first
Stunningly beautiful weather so jumped on Henry and headed north west.
More excellent roads, more lovely villages and a dozen snobby BMW riders.
I made it to Riom es Montagnes and then had to decide left or right. Left was flatish but Right took me back up to Puy Mary - albeit on a different road - and the sun was shining - and it was twisty...
No decision really - Henry turned right.
The road up was lovely. Good surface and not too many cars.
I reached the top and had a quick chat to a Goldwing rider who also thought BMW riders were snobs then went down the road I came up yesterday. Seriously did not realise how damned steep it was and was on the brakes the whole way. Reached the valley floor and took an alternate route home. It went for about 50kms along the valley floor through some gorgeous little villages.
Brilliant riding!!
Some French jets were playing Top Gun up and down the valley and skimming the mountaintops. They made a hell of a noise which then echoed off the sides of the canyons.
Just a little bit envious.
